“Devastating and gorgeous. A poignantly funny, beautifully created narrative.”
- The New York Times (Critics' Pick)
“Immensely relatable. Unflinching, raw, and current . . . Engagingly, painfully amusing. Gorgeously arranged, emotionally evocative songs. A unique mother-daughter love story.”
- Time Out New York (Critics' Pick)
“Well worth your attention. An affectionate, well-crafted, surprisingly funny new musical. You won’t be able to tell if you’re laughing or crying. Probably because you’ll be doing both.”
- New York Post
“Charming and very funny. A seasoned musician with a beautiful voice, Brooke rocks it.”
- The New Yorker
“Sharp, unique, poignant and tuneful.”
- Entertainment Weekly
Written and performed by Jonatha Brooke

"How many people do you
know who can say they have 4 noses?"
Jonatha's mom did
have 4 noses, at least as many names, and an indomitable sense of humor. She was a published poet, a clown, a Christian Scientist, and she had Alzheimer's. In their final two years together, Jonatha and her mother would mine the daily goings-on for theatre. "Boolie (Jonatha's nickname), are you getting this down? We should make a play out of it!" My Mother Has 4 Noses
is the result.
In this powerful musical one-woman show, acclaimed singer-songwriter Jonatha Brooke tells a very unusual mother-daughter love story.
